First week of classes!

Today I had the rest of the classes that are on my schedule that I didn't have yesterday. My schedule is..

Monday-
Sociology 9:10-10
Calculus 12:10-1
Economics 1:10-2

Tuesday- *my longest day*
Sociology 9:10-10
Art 10:10-12
Calculus 12:10-1
Economics 1:10-2
BA 100A 2:10-3
*BA 100A is apart of the business school that helps you transition into college and the professor is the academic advisor of the business college, Mr. Bila

Wednesday-
UC 10:10-12
Economics 1:10-2
*UC is course that is apart of my learning community another course to help you transition. Even though its two hours long it so far hasn't felt like it because we did fun ice breaker activities and the professor is head of the marketing department of the business college.

Thursday- *Another long day*
Sociology 9:10-10
Art 10:10-12
Calculus 12:10-1
Economics 1:10-2

Friday-
Sociology 9:10-10
Calculus 12:10-1

So far I like my classes so far, except for Art. I'm not a big fan of art in the first place and my professor has an accent because she's from Italy and I am HORRIBLE with accents. It doesn't help that the course is 2 hours either. My math and econ professors both like to work very fast paced which makes those classes feel like missing those classes a big no no, not like I was planning on being frequent when it came to skipping classes.

I have already had homework in Economics and Math..and it sounds like I will have both of those subjects every night. I was given my first project today in my UC class and thats due next week with my partner who happens to live in the dorm right in front of mine just about. We have to make a 2-3 slide powerpoint. I also have a journal entry to write per week for my UC class. This week's topic due next week is "What were you like in high school (academic, personal, out-of-class interest and activities? Looking back at yourself in your freshman year on high school, how are you different now? What are you nervous about in your next major change – the transition from high school to college? What are you looking forward to in college?"

Well thats it for now I am going to work on homework. I will add more stuff later, like pictures! :)

twinsies

So it has been decided with some of the girls I have met in my dorm that I look like this girl

Her character name is Robin, she plays in How I met your mother. So I am remembered as the girl from how I met your mother because not only do we look a like but we supposedly talk alike as well.

my first day!

Yesterday was our first day of just being college students which was nice. We went to the bookstore...3 or 4 times. We went with the intent of getting my clothes and Kasie's books. The first time I bought my clothes and Kasie put her books on hold. We then came back to get her money and went back to the store, then they informed her that they needed a debit card to scan so back to our dorm we went again, and FINALLY brought her books back with us. Unfortunately to get to the bookstore we have to deal with the devil... Jefferson Hill
At the bookstore I used my going away money from my grandma to buy new clothes. The bookstore makes me spend all my money on clothes, just like Victoria's Secret.
THANK YOU GRANDMA FOR MY GIFT :) I was able to finally buy the jersey I wanted for the football games and also a couple of t-shirts! I ordered some of my books yesterday on chegg.com.

The food here is pretty good, our dorm food place doesn't open until Tuesday, so we have to take like a 5-10 minute walk to Nelson Hall to eat on South Green. There is a nice variety of food to choose from so far I've had a sub yesterday for lunch, rigatoni for dinner, and a cheeseburger today for lunch.

moving day!

Here are pictures of before the move of our living room and the car getting ready to head southbound to ATHENS!

the start of college life :)

Here are pictures of our dorm before Kasie and I moved in :)
Once we started moving in we very rapidly started hating steps, the heat, and carrying anything! Moving in is probably the hardest thing I've ever experienced in my life, thank god the next move is all downhill!
Here is our dorm all moved in!
This is my bed :) and the picture beside it is my little food area with Kasie's lamp
This is our refrigerator and microwave! This is our center part in between our two closets with our tv on it and our dressers
My closet and desk area under my bed
Kasie's desk area and bed
Kasie's closet and shelving that we're sharing.
Our Door :) we have started changing our dry erase board just about once a day.

First Post!

So I thought starting this blog would be a good way for anyone who wants to follow what I'm up to at college :) I will try to write often, and keep it up to date so check in often I guess!

COUNTDOWN: 29 days!

Probably won't write again until I start school since there's really no point.
